Welcome to The Reading Spark. If you have a child who is struggling in reading, writing, and spelling, then you have landed at the right place. Here at the Reading Spark, every child's learning style is viewed as unique, and there is no "one size fits all". Your child's overall strengths and weaknesses are taken into account as each lesson is designed to fit their individual needs.
Students who struggle with learning disabilities are often dealing with emotional stress as well as academic. They may struggle with feelings of inadequacy which can lead to low self-esteem. Here at the Reading Spark, I seek to instill positive views to learning. My goal is to give them concrete successful experiences while challenging them to grow their potential in a safe environment through Structured Literacy and Multisensory Techniques.
Through the Slingerland© Multi-Sensory Approach (an Orton-Gillingham based approach) I aim to come alongside your child and teach them life-long tools to manage and work through their learning differences.
